Why are you involved in Together! Healthy Knox? "My interests are in the emerging field of public health systems and services research, focusing on local and state health departments, population health outcomes, and health disparities, particularly in rural areas. sI was a member of the original national workgroup which developed MAPP and am very excited about the opportunity to now be a part of a community-based coalition which is actually using the MAPP model.”

*Together! Healthy Knox uses Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP), a model developed by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), for a planned approach to improve health and quality of life.
