Bio: Jim Decker has been the CEO of MEDIC Regional Blood Center since 2006. Before that, he spent five years as senior vice president of the Baptist Health System of East Tennessee, and twelve years as president and CEO of Gateway Health System in Clarksville, TN. He has an MS in hospital and health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.

Why are you involved in Together! Healthy Knox? “I have a both a personal and professional interest in health. Personally, I live a very active lifestyle and consider maintaining my personal health as a high priority.  Professionally, I am interested in doing whatever I can to influence others to take more responsibility for their health so as to improve the overall well-being of our community.”
